ACLP General Meetings: The next general meeting will be held from 7:00 – 8:30 PM (food arrives at 6:45 PM) on Tuesday, May 22nd at the at the ACEA Union Hall (618 NW 13th Ave, Gainesville).

Ongoing Labor Party projects:

‘Medicare for All’ Book Club–Please RSVP, seating is limited to 10 people!  The Alachua County Labor Party is sponsoring a book club focusing on articles dealing with the single payer option for health care. The group will meet monthly at the home of Labor Party activist Marilyn Eisenberg on a Sunday afternoon. The next meeting will be Sunday, June 3rd from 3 to 5 PM. Come deepen your understanding of the issues surrounding ‘Medicare for All’ while enjoying the fellowship of other like-minded ACLP members! If interested, contact Marilyn at marilyneisenberg@bellsouth.net or call 376-1208, and she will send directions to you. Participants will receive reading materials before each meeting, and get to share their views about the articles with others at the gathering. June reading material TBA. We welcome any ideas on good reading materials from the group.  Refreshments will be served. We look forward to hearing from you!

“Save UF” General Assembly

The ‘Save UF! Spend the Reserves’ campaign is an ad hoc coalition of Gainesville-area residents, students, GAs, faculty, and staff who have come together to STOP the unnecessary budget cuts at the University of Florida. Join us on Wednesday, May 23, to send a clear message to UF Administration: No to the cuts, No to the layoffs, No to the dismantling of the University!
